Because we believe in establishing long-term relationships with our customemicrrs, we decided to use plain English instead, to make our terms as clear as possible.
Please don't forget that we are real people: take a look at our company page to get to know us a little. We are not perfect, but we're trying our hardest, because we genuinely care about your success.

We may block, restrict, disable, suspend or terminate your access to all or part of EdiActivity at any time in our sole discretion, without prior notice or liability to you. To this day, we have never had to do this, and we hope it never happens.
If you think we removed your access by mistake, get in touch and we'll give you our reasoning. We also have a quick way to restore access without losing any of your data.
Support for EdiActivity is provided via our Community Forums at http://community.EdiActivity.com as well via our support portal at http://support.EdiActivity.com
Email and phone support is also included, but is only provided to EdiActivity site subscribers.
We also continuously update the EdiActivity Documentation so that users can help themselves and site owners are better equipped to help their users.
We take pride in providing excellent customer support, but we are also a small team and value our work/life balance. This means that although we'll try our best, we do not guarantee 24/7 support.
We collect the following personal data:
Optional Phone number
Optional Geographical location/Address
Optional Working hours
We do not collect Address or Credit Card information directly. See - Who can see my credit card number? below.
We use return e-mail addresses to answer the e-mail we receive. Such addresses are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with outside parties.
Please be aware that your browser must be enabled to accept cookies from EdiActivity.com in order for you to use EdiActivity.
Finally, we never use or share the personally identifiable information provided to us online in ways unrelated to the ones described above.
No-one. We never store your password unencrypted, so no-one can read it.
It is your sole responsibility to keep your user name, password and other sensitive information confidential. If you become aware of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security, you shall notify EdiActivity immediately.
If you forget your password, we send you a secure link via email that lets you reset it.
No-one at EdiActivity. We use the very trustworthy and secure Spreedly payment service. Read about their security measures on the Spreedly Terms of Service (in short, they encrypt your credit card info).
Protecting the privacy of the very young is especially important. For that reason, we never collect or maintain information at our website from those we actually know are under 13, and no part of our website is structured to attract anyone under 13.
You can access all your personally identifiable information that we collect online and maintain by logging in to any EdiActivity site you have access to and visiting the pages.
By default, all data is private, but the owner or any staff member who's part of that account can make it public.
If you download and send artifacts (links, documents, settings)to someone, they will be able to access that even without logging in.
All of our customers' data resides in the same database. We use software best practices to guarantee that only people who you designate as viewers of your data can access it. In other words, we segment our customer data via software. We do our best and are very confident we're doing a good job at it, but, like every other web app that hosts their customer’s data on the same database, cannot guarantee that a sophisticated hacker cannot access other people's data.
Security is one of the main reasons we chose Microsoft Corporation Windows Azure Services as the infrastructure provider for EdiActivity. To see all the steps Microsoft takes to protect the data saved on its services, take a look at the extensive Security Center and the security-related details. It's what makes us sleep well at night.
On top of all that Azure goodness, we have our own practices in place, which follow the industry's best practices. We keep our servers always up to date with security fixes, have one-click ways to take down servers should they become infected/compromised and to create and deploy new clean ones.
If you have discovered a security concern, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We’ll work with you to make sure that we understand the scope of the issue, and that we fully address your concern. We consider correspondence sent to email@example.com our highest priority, and work to address any issues that arise as quickly as possible.
Please act in good faith towards our users’ privacy and data during your disclosure. We won’t take legal action against you or administrative action against your account if you act accordingly: White hat researchers are always appreciated.

Any copying or redistribution of the software is prohibited, including any copying or reproduction of the software to any other server or location for further reproduction, redistribution or use on a service bureau basis. EdiActivity does not claim intellectual property rights over samples created or uploaded on EdiActivity.
We leave it to each EdiActivity site owner to decide who should own the IP of the samples used in their EdiActivity site. We encourage site owners to make their policy clear to their users, either via email or by posting it on their EdiActivity site (see this page as an example).
You are solely and entirely responsible for all of your user materials that you post or otherwise submit via EdiActivity. You shall assume all risks associated with the use of your user materials including any reliance on the accuracy, completeness or usefulness of your user materials. EdiActivity does not guarantee the accuracy, integrity or quality of your user materials. You acknowledge and agree that by accessing or using EdiActivity, you may be exposed to user materials from others that are offensive, indecent or otherwise objectionable.
In short, we do not. Like all other cloud-based applications, we are vulnerable to the inherent unreliability of the Internet.
That said, high reliability is something we are proud of and something we deliberately chose to compete on. That's why we have hired developers, system administrators and support staff both in North America (USA) and Asia (India).
We monitor EdiActivity closely and have set up automated alarms to be notified (via email and SMS) when the EdiActivity service is under stress, so that we can deal with the issue before it becomes a problem that might impact customer access.
You can see for yourself how we're doing on this front by looking at this Pingdom-powered chart (click for more info)
You acknowledge and agree that EdiActivity shall not be liable for any failure to store your materials on EdiActivity at any time.
Your data is saved on Azure Storage Services, which provides an SLA of 99.9% availability of object over a given year (link TBD).
We have a real-time backup to a slave instance in a different availability zone (for added resilience) and we keep daily database snapshots of the last 3 days.
This depends on the scale of the disaster, of course.
We spread our app servers amongst several Data Centers within the US and have survived several outages in one or more zones without any downtime. Should the whole us-east-1 region be affected by an outage (atomic bomb over Virginia?), it would probably take us up to a week to set up everything in a new region, assuming we'd still be able to get to our backup data on Azure.
